What could you do with a course in plumbing?

It depends on entirely on what you want to do with it. Some plumbers work for major contractors or utility companies. This work may therefore involves work on major pipe projects, installing new water or gas mains, connecting properties to the mains, installing new central heating systems for customers or making repairs on current systems and boilers. Work is often made a lot easier with new technology such as micro-diggers and pneumatic drills.

Many plumbers choose to become self-employed, working for themselves or their own business. This is a popular route as you get to keep everything you earn. This does however tend to involve more work in building up a customer base, keep up these relationships, and working all hours necessary to get the job done. The work can be very varied with installing new heating systems, underfloor heating or complete bathroom suites.

The trade therefore requires expert knowledge and certification. You can find many courses locally which can train you up to these levels by searching online.
